Tea on the Terrace
Join us for our most cherished tradition of spring — the annual docent-hosted fundraising tea on the terrace.
Your afternoon will begin with a flute of champagne or champomy, offered graciously as we invite you to meander through historic gardens of the French château, au fil des allées.
A traditional four-course afternoon tea follows, exquisitely prepared and served on the terrace, where time slows and the pleasures of the table unfold to the gentle strains of the violin.
Marché de Kimberlée, a French-inspired market, will delight you with a carefully curated collection of local jams and marmalades, custom tea blends, botanicals, fascinator hats, and distinctive Kimberly Crest gift items, each meant to become a cherished memento of the day.
Charming, Instagram-ready vignettes await throughout the gardens, along with an opportunity to create Victorian-inspired Tussie-Mussie bouquets. The afternoon also includes a guided tour of the first floor of the château, offering an intimate glimpse into the elegance and stories that define this extraordinary place.
Proceeds from this beloved annual event directly support the preservation and sharing of Kimberly Crest House & Gardens, a treasured National Historic Landmark open to thousands of visitors annually. Your participation helps ensure its beauty and legacy endure for generations to come.
Attire: Vintage-inspired, garden tea party attire is encouraged. Tea tables will include overhead umberellas, however please come prepared with sunscreen, hats & parasols for your comfort. Spiked heels are not permitted within the home to protect century-old flooring.
Due to the unique nature of this event, special dietary requests cannot be accommodated. Vegetarian and gluten-free items are included as part of the course offerings. As a nonprofit organization, we rely on proceeds from registrations to support our mission. Therefore, tickets are non-refundable but are transferrable. The event is suitable for guests 12 and older. No infants please.
